After proper survey of the area and looking at
the interest of the SHG members regarding goat farming. Goat farming is profitable
if proper guidance and scientific approach is followed from the outset. Besides
goats were also sold to hotels, restaurants, Mutton stall keepers and Meat
exporters. Income generation could be enhanced with higher flock size and time
of farming. Being
the principal meat producing animal in India, goat meat is commonly preferred
to other meat with better prices irrespective of caste and religion. The project should include
the following information on technical, financial and managerial aspects in
detail based on type of unit and capacity.
